When it comes to foundation, I just don’t go there. I like the look and feel of tinted moisturizers much better. And while my cheeks could use more coverage to hide those blasted freckles and one pencil eraser-sized spot of sun-damage, I stubbornly hang on to the lighter stuff.
I’ve used Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer for a couple of years now. A tube lasts me forever and everyone seems to rave about how great it is (for good reason), but I’m feeling the itch to switch things up.
One possibility is Stila Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer. It comes in 10 different shades and has SPF 15 sunscreen built-in.
I’ve never bought anything by Becca, but I’d like to check out Luminous Skin Color SPF 20+. It claims to block 96% of UVA/UVB rays and it comes in 14 shades! That’s something to get excited about.
Another product I’m curious about is Estée Lauder Daywear Plus. It goes on colorless and then shows its tint once you blend it in your skin. It comes in SPF 15 and contains anti-oxidants that are supposed to protect your face from environmental damage.
Looks like I’ve got my work cut out for me at the makeup counter this weekend.
